I was browsing the net, and found an interesting topic, TOP PINOY BUSINESS NAMES, created by a Multiply user.  Another user replied, and mentioned Dogbero in his post.  Thanks totomatic!

So, let me just share this, especially for my foreigner and non-Filipino speaking site visitors.   Dogbero is a name that comes from two words, namely "dog" and "barber".  It was a suggestion from one of my pet mom's friends, Ma'am Beybs a.k.a. MCR. during one of their YM chats.  See, my mom was telling her friend about her plans of putting up a dog beauty parlor, and right there and then, her friend suggested, "Dogbero!"  It was a nice, catchy name.  So they agreed to have it registered with DTI immediately.  (Okay, now I'm doing this for my pet mom's friend.  She has her own business, Pakisuyo Center, where you can ask them to do whatever you want done and they'll relieve you of the headaches, burdens and hassles of having to do all the leg work yourself. Thus, it followed that Pakisuyo Center coordinated everything and did everything to arrange the required documents for the set-up of Dogbero.  Thanks to MCR!  I'll share the link to their site later, just in case anyone is interested to avail of their services.)

Going back on topic, "Pagupitan ng Aso" literally means "a place where dogs get their hair cut".  So, "Dogbero Pagupitan ng Aso" means a dog grooming salon, a dog beauty parlor, a dog barbershop. 

And yes, as they say, when you dream, dream big.  So when Dogbero was conceptualized, what my pet guardians had in mind was to put up the first fully-dedicated dog grooming facility in Cavite, a dog grooming salon where dog grooming is the core business.  It is not just an after-thought or a supplemental business to an already existing business like a veterinary clinic or a petshop.  It is as it is, a real, complete, full-service dog grooming parlor.

Now, dog lovers from Cavite and nearby places don't have to travel far and sweat through the traffic jam just to bring their dogs for regular grooming in Metro Manila.  There is Dogbero that is just around their neighborhood.  There is a dog barbershop in the community!
