ISANG KUWENTO NG PUTO BUMBONG

Last 4th week of November, 2011 - we received an errand form with the following words:  "Dear Pakisuyo, I am now  living in Sweden with my own family. For more than a decade hindi na ulit pa ako nakauwi sa Pilipinas. I miss Paskong Pinoy so much lalo na ang  Puto Bumbong. Pasko na naman and i can feel the same feeling again . I tried to surf the internet and find ways on how can i  finally get one.  I stumbled on one of your ads in a popular pinoy ad site and tried to email you. Can you buy me ingredients and materials for  my  Puto Bumbong this Christmas?......."

Upon reading the email, we smiled and replied immediately with "yes ma'am - your wish is our command!" .  Her shopping list includes 1 pc Puto Bumbong Steamer, 12 pcs Bamboo Tubes, 12 pcs Mcormick flavoring, 1 pc Bake Book , 3 rollsTablea and many more......

We canvassed but unfortunately for some items nahirapan talaga kaming maghanap. We emailed her and told her na baka di namin ma kumpleto and baka di umabot sa pasko .. With  that email, nasurprise kami when she called in our landline and parang nagpapanic na sinabing...."Mrs Rofule..please, please don't do that. With such words coming from a fellow Pinay what else can I say.  I finally told her...sige Ms. Ria - we will  try our best...sige po ipapadala namin. Pakihintay na lang po ang complete na canvass and pls confirm once sent to you.

I met my messengers and explained to them what I felt during my short talk with our client. Sabi ko - blood compact tayo , dapat ma kumpleto natin ito at maipadala sa Sweden within the next three days.

Binaybay ng aming messengers ang Divisoria , supermarket, bake shops and book stores and because now  they fully understood what needs to be accomplished - after two days they successfully completed the shopping list.

We emailed to the client and she responded immediately and  transferred payment on same day.  Again, she called and thank my team. Compared in her last call -  she seemed  to be so excited, overwhelmed and I can even feel her heart....na parang nagsasabing "salamat...sa wakas!".

Yesterday we sent her the package which weighed more or less 8 kg.

This is a simple errand...but it moved our hearts. Yes, we earned out of this errand but we also learned a lot.
